The KNAUS Campingpark Bleckede / Elbtalaue is located in Alt Garge/ Bleckede approx. 30 km from Lüneburg, in the middle of the Biosphere Reserve Lower Saxon Elbtalaue. It is a real paradise for cyclists and water sports enthusiasts, hikers and anglers. The biosphere reserve is part of the cross-border UNESCO biosphere reserve "River Landscape Elbe" and is characterized by a unique countryside with meadows and lawns, as well as an idyllic villages.
Grace to its comfortable and barrier-free infrastructure, the modern and generous sanitary facilities and the many possibilities in the area, the campsite provides all the necessary circumstances for a relaxing holiday. For events and festivities a large hall for up to 80 persons is available directly at the reception building.
Right next to the campsite is the Forest Bath “Alt Garge”, entrance is free for the campsite’s guests. A large outdoor pool with slide, diving tower and playground provides ideal refreshment on hot summer days not only for the little ones.
The famous and popular "Elbe Cycling Trail", the "German Stork Street” and the beautiful, natural environment are inviting you to long walks, bike and hiking tours on which you can watch storks, cranes or sea eagles as well as thousands of geese and swans on the flooded meadows in winter.
A special leisure activity for the whole family is the “Bicycle Handcar”. You are given information about railroad tracks which you can ride with these handcars through the idyllic countryside only by muscular strength.
Visit the picturesque historic centre of Lüneburg with its narrow medievial alleyways or the famous border triangle between Lauenburg, Boizenburg and Bleckede.
Experience some wildlife in Lüneburger wildlife park and meet wolfs, bears and snow leopards.
