The KNAUS Campingpark Rügen is located on a high plateau about 10 metres above sea level and is surrounded by a picturesque nature reserve. With its proximity to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, it invites you to a varied day by the sea. Whether it's renting a wicker beach chair, beach bars or a wide range of water sports – sun worshippers and active holidaymakers alike will find what they are looking for here. The rustic restaurants in the area offer the opportunity to round off the day with culinary delights.

The impressive lighthouses of Kap Arkona are only a few kilometres away from the KNAUS Campingpark Rügen. These historical buildings not only offer a breathtaking view, but are also witnesses of past seafaring history. The nearby fishing village of Vitt, which is under a preservation order, impresses with its traditional charm and picturesque location. It is particularly worth visiting for those interested in history and nature.
For those interested in art and culture, the island gallery not far from the camping park offers fascinating insights into the works of old masters and beautiful landscapes. The Altenkirchen church is also worth seeing, with its historic grounds and the grave of the famous poet Ludwig Gotthard Kosegarten. Another highlight is the Jasmund National Park, home of the famous chalk cliffs. The spectacular cliffs and ancient beech forests, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, invite you to unforgettable hikes.
If you are looking for adventure, you should definitely visit the car-free island of Hiddensee. It can be easily reached by ferry from Breege and promises peace and pure nature. For active holidaymakers, the treetop walk in the Rügen Nature Heritage Centre near Prora is recommended – an experience at lofty heights that will thrill not only families. Numerous cycle paths, including the 300-kilometre-long Rügen Cycle Route, also invite you to take extended tours to experience the beauty of the island up close.
