The region around Marina di Sorso invites you to make a variety of discoveries. The long sandy beach with fine white sand and crystal-clear water is considered one of the most beautiful stretches on the north-west coast of Sardinia. If you are interested in culture, we recommend a visit to the archaeological complex of Santa Filitica: in the municipality of Sorso, you will find the remains of a Roman villa and early Christian prayer rooms – a little-known but fascinating testimony to the history of the region.
For nature lovers, the landscape behind the dunes and the pine forest of Marina di Sorso is a special place – juniper trees, dwarf palms and sea daffodils characterise the landscape and invite you to take a walk or go bird watching. Active holidays can also be wonderfully organised here: the wide stretch of beach with good services is ideal for beach, water and outdoor sports. And if you want to enjoy culinary delights, the surrounding area offers typical Sardinian specialities – freshly caught fish, olive oil from the region and wine from small wineries. The area around Marina di Sorso also has a lot to offer families with children.
One highlight is the Aquafantasy water park, only about 30 minutes from the campsite. With water slides, pools and play areas, it is ideal for a fun day under the Sardinian sun. Drive to the west coast of Sardinia to Stintino and enjoy the legendary Pelosa beach with its white sand and crystal-clear, azure waters. Ideal for a relaxing day by the sea – combined with a stroll through the fishing village of Stintino and freshly grilled fish at the harbour. Or take a trip to the medieval town of Castelsardo with its winding streets, castle and magnificent sea views. From there, a panoramic road leads along the north coast – photo stops included – ideal for lovers of culture, good food and beautiful scenery.
