A Destination Worth Visiting: The coastal town of Sant Feliu de Guíxols is famous for its historic cork industry and its long fishing tradition. Besides its beautiful coastline, you'll find a charming old town filled with centuries-old buildings and attractions located just behind the harbour.
Our wonderful campsite supervisor Cezary from Camping El Pla de Mar recently explored Sant Feliu de Guíxols and brought back these fantastic photos for us! This beautiful coastal town is only a 45-minute drive from Camping El Pla de Mar. Whether you enjoy hiking, culture or water sports, Sant Feliu de Guíxols offers much more than its stunning beaches and rugged coastline.

The name Sant Feliu refers to Saint Felix of Africa, a Roman legionary in Emperor Maximian's army who, according to tradition, was martyred together with Saint Nabor in Lodi in AD 304.
Sant Feliu de Guíxols lies in a picturesque bay nestled between the mountains of Sant Elm and the hill of El Molí de les Forques. The town is well known for its fishing heritage and cork industry. Visitors can also discover remarkable historical landmarks, including the parish church and several preserved parts of the Romanesque monastery, famous for its impressive Porta Ferrada gateway.
