From 11–13 September 2026, the 21st DDR Nostalgia Gathering will take place at Lake Auensee in Leipzig.

During this special weekend, enthusiasts of classic East German caravans, vintage vehicles and nostalgic camping come together at KNAUS Campingpark Leipzig. Visitors can admire beautifully preserved DDR caravans, meet like-minded camping fans, exchange experiences and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere. Even if you're not participating with your own caravan, you're welcome to stop by and experience a unique weekend full of East German nostalgia.

Where: Gustav-Esche-Straße 5, 04159 Leipzig (KNAUS Campingpark Leipzig-Auensee)
Participation Fee: €10.00 per person (in addition to the discounted campsite fee, children participate free of charge)

Programme

Friday

Welcome at the festival tent followed by a cosy evening around the campfire.

Saturday

Browse the small flea market, discover historic camping treasures and exchange knowledge about classic DDR camping equipment.

Sunday

A relaxed farewell before departure.

Registration

Registration must be completed in advance via the official DDR Nostalgia Gathering website to receive access to the reserved event area and discounted campsite rates.
