The KNAUS Camping and Holiday Home Park Rügen is located on a high plateau approx. 10 m above sea level and in the middle of a nature reserve. An ideal place for a relaxing holiday in the midst of nature. Directly below is the famous beach section "Die Schaabe". This unique natural beach stretches over a length of more than 10km and can be reached from the campsite via a staircase.
The sophisticated Baltic resort of Breege-Juliusruh is also located on the "Schaabe" and is only a stone's throw away. Enjoy a day at one of the most beautiful beaches on the island with everything you need: beach chair rental, beach bar, water sports, quaint restaurants and much more.
The historical lighthouses of Cape Arkona, the listed fishing village Vitt, the world famous Kreidefelsen and the seaside resort Juliusruh are in the immediate vicinity. A visit to the island gallery is also worth a visit, in addition to numerous landscapes, you can also admire beautiful calm life. In addition, you should also make a tour around the church of Altkirchen with its facade. There are numerous old tomb walls as well as the grave of the famous poet, pastor and professor Ludwig Gotthard Kosegarten.
From Breege you reach the car-free island Hiddensee several times a day by ferry, or let the historic island railway "Rasender Roland" bring you into the beautiful seaside resorts Binz and Sellin with their pier. On over 300 km of cycling trails, you can explore Rügen by bike.
