The KNAUS Campingpark Hünfeld is located 4 km from Hünfeld on slightly sloped meadows with isolated tree and bush groups.
The good and clean air of the biosphere reserve of the Rhön offers ideal conditions for a relaxing holiday with the whole family. There are numerous activities for sports activities, too: besides the greenery of the landscape, many guests also appreciate the green of the directly adjacent golf course. With the 18-hole east course and the 9-hole west course, it is certainly one of the most attractive in in all of Germany. Guests of the campsite receive a 15 % discount on the 18-hole round.
Numerous museums await interested visitors in the immediate vicinity: for example, visit the Konrad Zuse Museum in Hünfeld and discover the exciting history of our modern computers. Or take a walk through German-German history and visit the former border installations between the FRG and the GDR at Point Alpha.
Families may explore the nature of the Rhön on many hiking and cycling trails. Particularly popular are the Hofberg, Bomberg and Rößberg leisure trails near the city centre and the "Weinberg" Nordic walking trail.
Nine cone-shaped volcanic mountains, called "Hessian Kegelspiel" due to their number and uniformity, surround the picturesque valleys of the area.

A one-day excursion to Fulda is worthwhile to discover and visit sights and art treasures from over 1250 years. In summer, various cultural and entertainment festivals take place in the area such as the Gaalbern festival in August / September.
Winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy the long country trails of the Rhön. For skiers and tobogganers, the nearby watercourse offers various slopes and downhill trails.
